A stunning 1.6M tall frame shows a full panoramic view of the river Thames.
Initially a folded panoramic pictorial map of the Thames River found in the back of an 1840’s atlas, this chromolithographed, steel engraved print was folded in 12 places and underwent an extensive digital restoration to remove fold marks and restore its original colour.
This map shows the Thames from its source in Gloucestershire, extending to the estuary in the North Sea. Shown in detail are major towns, railways, bridges and roads. It also includes distances and a list of important landmarks.
